Nasz list wysłany do Japoni oraz odpowiedź na nasz pokojowy apel wraz ze zdjęciami Pomnika Pokoju i naszej "żurawiej" pracy z origami, która umieszczona jest w gablotach przy pomniku.

Nasz list:

Dear all!

We are preschoolers from a non-public kindergarten "Little Artists" in Swarzędz, Poland. We are 4, 5 and 6 years old. Our teachers have inspired us to learn about the art and culture of Japan. We have undertaken a project about your country – the Country of Cherry Blossoms. We have learned calligraphy, the basics of ikebana, planted some trees in our mini gardens, brewed green tea, hosted a lady in a kimono, made and eaten sushi. We have done all these things because we are interested in the culture and history of Japan. We have carried out a TSURU project. A lot of people were involved in the project, not only from our kindergarten, and we have folded more than one thousand origami cranes!
We are deeply moved by the story of Sadako Sasaki. We know that the crane is a symbol of happiness and peace. Sadako never doubted that she could beat the disease ...
We are sending you our cranes with our peace message.
Our magical cranes were created to the smell of oriental incense and Japanese music and the belief that we can be happy!
And all these things… so that people will not hurt one another.
Our work has been created in the name of peace and freedom.
We would like the cranes to help one of our dreams come true - the dream of Peace on Earth! A dream we all can help come true!
Therefore, let us not lose hope, because the sun always comes up after the storm ☺

We greet you warmly!

Dear Przedszkole Niepubliczne “MALI ARTYSCI”

I trust this letter finds you in good health.
I was very pleased to receive the paper cranes you folded in your sincere desire for peace.
We dedicated your cranes to the Children's Peace Monument, the statue that was built in memory of Sadako Sasaki, a junior high school girl who died in 1955 of the "A-bomb" disease.

I believe the spirit of Sadako is pleased by your great kindness.

Your prayers for world peace will be passed on to the many people who will visit the monument.

Let's work together for a world of peace free from nuclear weapons so Sadako's tragedy will never be repeated.

Very truly yours,
Yasuyoshi Komizo Chairperson, Board of Directors
